Henry Winkler…
..oh yes…Henry Winkler. And we’re going to go see Fonzie in a panto! How cool is that? We’re going to go to the Wimbledon theater and see Peter Pan. And Henry Winkler is in it as Captain Hook. Neato. We’ll let you know how it goes.

Dec 13th 2006sarahHolidays & Life
Ok, I’m stressing out a bit. We just put up our Christmas decorations last weekend, I haven’t been able to make any cookies yet, I’m leaving my job in two and a half weeks, I’ve got two Christmas parties on Friday, and then on Saturday we’re meeting friends in town for a Jack the Ripper walk! Too much to do!
The thing I’m mainly worried about is the cookies. I usually try to make a number of different kinds, so that way we can have some to snack on and I can bring some in to work, but I simply haven’t had the time. Yes, the hamster has distracted me quite a bit, but things have just been too busy at the weekends. And I really want to make some because I wouldn’t mind treating our delivery folks to some. I guess I’ll have to crack down this Sunday and get baking!
Even though I haven’t got the baking done, I do pretty much have all the Christmas shopping done. Just need to get it all packed up and wrapped. Then I just need to make a trip or two to the grocery store.
I’m really happy we get paid early this month, but at the same time it’s a pain. Just means we’re waiting longer and living frugal till the end of January! It’s all good, though. It’s going to be fab.
Also, I promised a friend of mine I’d mention a website. Apparently someone she knows has written a book. It’s supposed to be a pretty good read. Have a look here.
Yes, have a good look at the new addition to Family Rudman. Today, we bought a hamster, and we’ve named him George. As in Curious George, but also cause the name just seems to suit.
He’s a little white hamster, with gray ears, and we quite like him. Here’s a first picture. Isn’t he sweet?
Dec 1st 2006sarahBelgium & Europe
Finally I’ve gotten my Belgium pictures up. I tried to get captions on, but I need to work them a bit. I hope you enjoy!
I’m still sorting some things out with Gallery2, but I’m sure you’ll all bear with me while I do that!
Our weekends are getting pretty booked up on the run up to Christmas, and I feel like I’ve been so busy since we’ve gotten back from Egypt. I can’t believe I haven’t gotten my Egypt photos uploaded. Paul’s been trying to get our server set up here, so I can just host all of our pics here on our own space. Mainly so I don’t have to make the decision of what pictures to put up. I also still have to sort out the last three days. Just like the end of the holiday, it’s hard to get it done.
We had a couple friends over last weekend for dinner. It was so nice to have folks over. I got to cook a Thanksgiving dinner, which we didn’t call a Thanksgiving dinner, and it was pretty good. Lamb roast, parsnips, potatoes, carrots and peas, plus (and this is the best part, I think!) pumpkin pie and pecan pie.
This weekend we’re off to Canterbury tomorrow with a house guest overnight. We’re taking the SHC student to Canterbury for the day and showing her around there, then heading back here for the evening and possibly showing her around Bromley on the next day. It should be nice, but it definitely means I won’t get to do any cleaning or baking this weekend. I have plans to do some cookies like I did last year, but I’m not sure that’s going to fly.
The weekend after that is still pretty free, and I’m trying to keep the Sunday open. Then the 15th is Paul’s Christmas party and on and on and on. There’s just no end in sight right now it seems! Anyway, I am planning to finish off the Egypt stuff and get all those photos online. It WILL happen, I promise!
