Fancy a cuppa?

So, while making my second cup of tea of the day, I’ve come to the realization that I drink waaay more tea here than I ever did back home. Not quite sure it’s a good thing – I know the sugar intake can’t be that good for me. However, there has been that study recently that tea is supposed to be good for you, so it can’t be all bad, now can it?

Happy Birthday Jessica

Doesn’t time fly. Two years and one day ago Kim looked like she had just swallowed a basketball. Then, two years ago Kim and John had the joy of finding out what real sleepless nights and nappies were all about.

More Family Photos

I’ve just put some new photos in the family section. You will need to log in to see them. Mandy sent me some pics of her kids, and because we don’t see many of those, I asked her if I could share. She said yes, so I’ve added an album there for her. Please have a look.

Now, before any one else goes in a tizzy, I will happily create an album for all of our families. In fact, I’d like to. With everyone being all over the place I would like to create this space for us to share some pictures of everyone. Big spider, ick

Ok, so went home for lunch today and got the fright of my life. Calmly turning on the facet to top up a glass of peach juice and what do I glance down and see? One of the biggest spiders in the world. Ick.
They say here they don’t have any scary creepy crawlies – you know, things that bite or hurt you, but let me tell you what, they have some of the hugest house spiders I have ever seen. Sure, it’s not going to bite me, but it may just scare the life out of me! And fall is the time of year for them. They like the cool and damp, and will crawl out of the drains or the fireplace. You never know when you’re going to come across one in the kitchen or the bathroom. Luckily, though the bedroom seems to be spider free zone.

Spiders, ick.

Done and Dusted

And they’re booked. After much trial and error with the internet, Mom and Dad’s tickets to the UK are now officially booked. And so are ours. Poor Paul had to actually call and do it in the end, but it’s worth it. We can now book the holiday time and start to get things in order – shall I start cleaning now?

All that’s left to do is work out the itinerary. What shall we have them do first?
