I have a tall, thin fridge/freezer that is hidden with cupboards so yes, it looks nice...but the freezer is on the bottom and there's just three drawers. There's no way I could ever stock up on homemade ice cream!

I can't wait for the day when I can have an American style fridge!

What a brilliant study of fridges in the UK... now if you just look at a few more, you could get, like, a PhD in English fridges!
You are right about the free standing fridge/freezer, the freezer does have drawers in it - but you know what? Despite that when it gets all iced up and the scraping of ice goes right through me like fingers on a blackboard, I like having drawers! How else do you get to things at the back of the freezer without having to move all that other stuff out the way first?
I like having the fridge on top of the freezer, its the fridge I use most of the time so saves me bending down all the time!
I'll invite you round to mine soon so you can see the free standing fridge/freezer in all its glory(!) Test it out a bit, maybe change your mind!
