Flat photos

Well, if you’re a part of the family, you’ll be happy to know that we’ve now got some new pictures in the family album. Remember, I need to set you up to access this once you’ve registered.
I was busy this weekend, you see. I went round and took pictures of the flat and uploaded them. I made sure to get plenty of the dining room table that caused such a fuss. Also, you’ll see our living room furniture, the couches aren’t so new, but the end tables and coffee table, etc are. We still want to get another table for the corner under the shelves, but that can come with time. It’s such a nice place now that we’ve got some decent furniture. We really do love this flat.

We’ve also added a new album which has pictures from our first Christmas in the flat. Not too interesting, but does have a pic of the fireplace with all the cards we got and the tree.

Sleepy Sunday…

It’s a quiet day today. Raining a bit, and Paul and I are sacked out on the couch watching a movie. But we haven’t been lazy all weekend!

Yes, this afternoon we’re watching Kill Bill Vol. 2. I guess I’m just keeping half an eye on it – not really my thing. So, we had a good weekend here. We had our friend Kevin over this weekend for dinner and a night out. We haven’t had any one over in ages, so it was kinda nice to have someone else around the house for a bit. I made chile for dinner and then made some ice cream, then went out in town here. Bromley’s not that bad to go out in. Best part is that we can walk everywhere. Most pubs are crawling with what seem like really young folks, but we went to a new place called the Partridge where folks seemed more our age. Rather a good night out – good to catch up with Kevin.

Our Sunday here has been pretty lazy. Just bought a paper, did some laundry and now we’re crashed on the couch watching tv. It’s all warm and cozy and it’s nice not having to go anywhere. All the cleaning’s done and we’re just relaxing letting the time pass.

Weather, blech

Rubbish weather this weekend, but we’re having a good time out and about anyway. Went to the theater again and had a nice night out.
The weather here! Crazy. It’s August, and I’ve got my jeans back on, with a long sleeve shirt, and it’s raining dreary cold rain. The kind of rain that gets you wet, no matter if you have an umbrella. Yuck. Could do without it. It just means that fall is pretty much here. And summer was so very short.

Oh well, we haven’t let it get to us. We went out today to a matinee show. Got a good deal – two for one on top seats – can’t beat it, really. The Woman in Black and had dinner at Los Locos.

The Woman in Black was pretty cool. Paul got the biggest kick out of some guy in the audience being scared out of his wits. I guess the sounds effects from the audience was the best thing in the performance for him. It was a good show, performed by two people and a spector only, it was kind of spooky – some startling moments. I know Paul and I both jumped at least once each, okay, maybe twice. Anyway, it was pretty good and we both really enjoyed it.

Los Locos was pretty sweet as well. Don’t get much TexMex here, so it was a nice treat for me. Probably the first good margarita I’ve had probably since leaving the states – not counting something I’ve made myself. Definitely better than the Texas Embassy. We’ll be going back again, especially as we got a two for one deal on the meals and it’s a regular deal. Cheapest dinner out we’ve had since going to Wagamama’s my last day working in town!

Tomorrow we get to clean and relax. I also may try to get some photos of the infamous dining room table up on the site as well. I’m sure you’ll all enjoy that!

4 years ago today…

Can you believe that Paul and I met four years ago today? And so began one of the greatest adventures of our lives…

Hehe, okay, that’s rich, I know, but come on, what else is it but an adventure? It’s not every day you meet the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with in the middle of a street in London, one of the biggest cities in the world. It’s just impossible to think that’s what happened, four years ago today. That one moment, which spurred on so many other things, such a chain of events to follow. It’s really spectacular.

And to think, just one small question started all this excitement – “Do you guys know where we can get something to eat around here?”

More photos finally!

So I’ve finally got most of our pictures loaded. Most are accessible to everyone, but some I’ve put under restricted access.

If you’re family, give me a shout and I’ll give you access to the family gallery. Pics of mom and dad, our flat, home in the states, and other like things can be found in there, but I need to give you permission to view them.
